Back Home

It’s been almost 2 years since I last wrote. That must mean that I’m busy. Last recap what you missed out.

March – May of 2017 was my “YOLO” trip. I visited multiple countries and cities across Asia. This was the trip which I called Going Home. I have decided to return home to Toronto. I had decided to end my life of living aboard. (It was put to a halt due to health).  At the beginning, I was only planning to leave for 5 years, and coming back before 30s. But of course some things were not meant to be. So I had to come back home… This trip lasted for 2 months, visited 7 counties, spent so much money. But it was a hell of a trip. Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, USA.

After travelling and living alone for a while, living at home fault weird. It felt like I was back in high school all over again. Nothing changed. I became a Product Manager  for BBM. (Black berry messenger. I know they were still alive) This was my first big step into a new path. My very first time I was able to land a PM job right away, Usually I had to become a dev first then work my way over to PM.

With the job being in Saug, I brought my very first car. A Honda Civic hatchback – Blue. Also with the business in Jakarta I was able to go there for my first time. And explore a new country and city! What I love doing

2018, I had a second opportunity to fly to Jakarta. But this time I was smarter and decided to take holidays afterwards. With that I was able to go to Bali and Tokyo. It was the best time to go to Tokyo. I went during sakura season. How I missed Japan. I been going back every year ever since I left.  Japan will ALWAYS be the funnest time of my life.

Knowing BBM will close down one day in Toronto, I started to look for a new job. I was able to land a PM job at Loblaw Digital. I became the PM of fulfillment tech for online grocery. What a long title. I only had 1 week break between jobs. So I decided to head out East. Did a solo road-trip to visit NB & PEI. Canada is a huge place. Many more to see.

To top of 2018, I closed it with a BANG! I finally brought a place of my own. I brought 1+1 condo in downtown! Downtown Markham! Who would have ever thought I was able to save enough money and buy a place. (Of course with the help of my parents). Condo pricing is way to High… With the help of my parents and my money saved, I was able to get a place.

So 2019, will be an interesting year. With an exiciting job, and a place of my own for the first time in Toronto. I wonder what has in store for me next year. Like always, stay optimistic and see where the joinery takes me too.

It seems the ship has anchored and found safe . But it doesn’t mean it won’t set out to sea again.

The only time success comes before work is in the dictionary.

I don’t have dreams, I have goals.
