My Starting Point
Throughout high school, I was deeply immersed in the world of technology. I attended Dr. Norman Bethune CI, where my journey began with a grade 10 computer science course, learning Turing. This initial spark led me to explore various digital disciplines, including Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Art, and Film. My passion for the digital space was always evident.
In grade 12, I had the opportunity to support my classmates in entering our first ECOO Competition, further reinforcing my interest in technology. While I was torn between pursuing film or computer science, I ultimately chose to continue my studies in Computer Science, setting the foundation for my career in the digital industry.
My Foundation Built
I graduated with a Computer Science degree from the University of Waterloo, where their reowned co-op program provided me with two years of working experience before graduation. My digital career kicked off in QA before I moved onto application development, and eventually led me to web development.
I gained valuable experiences to work across mid-sized corporations and startups in industries such as communication, financial services and eCommerce. I also had the chance to work in multiple cities, from Toronto to Vancouver, each experience presenting new challenges, key learnings, and meaningful professional career growth.
My Career Journey
After graduating, I continued as a Web Developer in Toronto before venturing to Asia to further advance my career. Driven by ambition and a commitment to working smart, I progressed into leadership roles, eventually becoming a Development Manager before transitioning into Product Management.
Now, with nearly 15 years of experience in digital product development, I have worked across four countries, diverse industries and various sized organizations. I specialize in building and scaling digital products that drive revenue growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experiences. Additionally, I have led high-performing teams, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and ownership.
